Information we collect
Cove collects the information you provide to create and use your account, including your name, email address, account settings, and information you add while using Cove.
Google sign-in
When you choose Google sign-in, Cove receives account information that Google makes available through the authorization you approve. This can include profile and account data needed to identify you and operate your Cove account. Cove stores a sanitized record of the OAuth response to support your connected account and sign-in.
Google-supplied data is used to operate your account. We do not use it for marketing unless you separately choose to receive marketing communications.
How we use information
We use your information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve Cove; communicate about your account; process purchases; and respond to support requests.
Service providers
We use service providers to help run Cove. Stripe processes payments. Loops delivers email communications when you choose to receive them. Honeybadger helps us detect and diagnose application errors. We may display avatars supplied through your connected account. These providers receive information only as needed to provide their services.
Marketing choices
Marketing email is optional. Cove asks for your separate consent before adding you to marketing communications, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email or by updating your preferences.
Analytics and advertising
Cove does not currently use analytics or advertising trackers.
Data retention, deletion, and security
We retain information while it is needed to provide Cove, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may ask us to delete your account and personal information. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
